The Chinese and European Pharmacopoeias – The new editions

This one-day Stakeholder workshop, co-organised by the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission,  the China Pharmaceutical Association of Plant Engineering (CPAPE) and the EDQM will explore the current trends and hot topics in the 10th Edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, which came into effect on 1 December 2015, and the 9th Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia, which is due to be published in July  2016.
 

Participants will learn about the mission, scope and organisation of the ChP, what’s new and what has changed in the ChP and Ph. Eur. with the publication of their respective new editions. Contributors include a variety of key stakeholders, including top officials from both pharmacopoeias and representatives from trade associations and the pharmaceutical industry.
 

The final session of the workshop will be a round-table discussion with Chinese and European industry associations on “The importance of pharmacopoeial standards and their added value for stakeholders”.

This high-level event will include the participation of Mr Wei ZHANG, Secretary General, Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission and Dr Susanne KEITEL, Director, EDQM, Council of Europe.
