Subject: Acquisition of Pharmaceutical Sugar Spheres Product Line from Paulaur Corporation

We are pleased to announce that effective 18th January 2016, Colorcon, Inc. has acquired the Pharmaceutical Sugar Spheres product line from Paulaur Corporation, a manufacturer of specialty sugar-based ingredients located in Cranbury based in Cranbury, New Jersey. The agreement is specific to Paulaur sugar spheres sold into the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement segments globally.

Paulaur made the decision to leave the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical arena to concentrate on their fast-growing food and confectionary business, and the acquisition by Colorcon assures Paulaur customers for the continuity of supply for sugar spheres.

This acquisition complements Colorcon’s Suglets® Sugar Spheres product line and enhances Colorcon’ s position as a leading global supplier of sugar spheres for the development of multiparticulate dosages.

Paulaur will continue to manufacture sugar spheres as a toll manufacturer for Colorcon, ensuring that customers will experience no change in product quality or associated documentation.

Colorcon will transition customers from Paulaur, and their distributors, to provide direct Colorcon sales and customer service. Paulaur will continue to manufacture until Colorcon converts to spheres manufactured in the Colorcon facilities located in Stoughton, WI and Bazainville, France. Be assured, we will work closely with you to support this transition.
