AGUETTANT attended Pharmapack, the first European congress dedicated to packaging and drug delivery systems for the pharmaceutical industry, and received the prestigious Pharmapack Award 2010, in the category « security of use - hospital product » for its plastic ephedrine prefilled syringe.

This award is granted to companies that express significant product innovation in thepackaging of drugs and medical devices launched on the French market in 2009. For AGUETTANT, this recognition rewards 5 years of development lead by its R&D team in Lyon, France. Limiting manipulation, this sterile and ready to use syringe, dedicated to surgical units and emergency wards, reduces drug events and risks of contamination.

Protected by two international patents (opening system and sterilisation of the plunger stopper), this new generation of syringe enables AGUETTANT to reinforce its will to improve quality and security of hospital and emergency care. Through this innovative packaging, other molecules will soon be launched in France but also on an international level via partnerships.

Furthermore, AGUETTANT foresees to licence its patents to partners in the various fields
such as healthcare and cosmetic.
