Dow Adhesives and Functional Polymers Announces Global Price Increases

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dow Adhesives and Functional Polymers will implement a price increase for all acrylic and acrylic-based products sold to the pressure sensitive, construction, textile nonwoven, graphic arts, thermal paper, and leather markets. The increase of $0.05 per lb. or $0.11 per kg. will be effective January 1, 2010 or as contracts allow. The increase will affect all acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions, vinyl-acetate based emulsions, and solution polymers.
In making the announcement, Neil Carr, Business Group Vice President of Dow Adhesives and Functional Polymers, cited the continuing escalation in raw material costs as necessitating the increases.
