CFDA officially joins the Interim Management Committee of ICMRA

Upon the approval of the State Council, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) officially joined the Interim Management Committee of the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) in June 2015 and participated in related work.

As a new executive level global collaboration mechanism for national and regional medicines regulatory authorities, ICMRA aims to strengthen strategic planning, innovate regulatory means, facilitate international cooperation, achieve better use of resources, push regulatory cooperation, promote regulatory convergence throughout the life-cycle of medicinal products based on the full utilization and guidance to the existing international cooperative initiatives, and assist the capacity and competence building of national and regional medicines regulatory authorities. The Interim Management Committee of ICMRA currently consists of medicines regulatory authorities from 13 countries and regions, including China, Canada, Ireland, the United States, Brazil, the European Union, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
